| X350 ? Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}15/KW. 26th August, 1935. Your Ref: EHD/NC. Auto Division. Messrs. British Timken Ltd., Cheston Road, Aston, Birmingham 7. For the attention of E.H. Doughty Esq. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 24th inst. The limits which you propose for the bearing cups are quite satisfactory, and we are now able to go ahead with the trial of these bearings. In connection with our proposal to try Timken bearings in the roller, you sent us, some time ago, a marked up blue print No. TD-S.1367, which enabled us to determine the proportions of the cone bore. We are therefore able to proceed with this part of the experiment also. Yours truly, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
