Dear Sirs,
We acknowledge with thanks your letter of the 4th instant, and we are pleased to observe that you are interested in our Short Cylinder Inserts.
With a view to giving you complete information in regard to materials and methods of fitting etc., we propose to arrange for our Technical Representative Mr. W.J. McCarthy to come over and discuss this matter fully with you on Friday afternoon next the 7th instant, and we trust that this will be convenient to you.
We hope following your discussion that you will arrange to test out these Inserts in one of your car engines and suggest you let Mr. McCarthy have a section of the cylinder block drawing showing the position of the Piston at the top and the bottom of the stroke and also the layout of the rings on the Piston, this would enable us to submit a suitable design of Insert.
Assuring you at all times of our co-operation.
We are,
Yours faithfully,
THE BRITISH PISTON RING CO LTD.
