-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}25/KW.6.9.35. A set of the old type of carburetters have been tested with the throttles removed, giving a reduction in depression from 2.4" to 1.8" Ins.Hg. at 3750 r.p.m. resulting in a gain of 5 BHP. at this speed, this test being carried out with the suction pistons working in a normal manner. Assuming that the new float pivot positions are satisfactory on the road, the carburetters should include the following features :- (1) Delete the reverse throttle and use original arrangement. (2) Increased throttle bore and induction hole to 1.375" dia. (3) 26 SWG. floats, deleting the stops on the underside of the floats. Include all the modifications as carried out on LeC.4378, 4495, 4548. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/L.H.Swindall. | ||
