Body Lines. This car has received severe criticism of its radiator to scuttle bonnet lines, the car having a bent back appearance. We have checked up the radiator cap height, also under the front pan to ground clearance. These were correct to the figures supplied by By/JD.{J. Draper - Frames} but we are given to understand that the radiator is .3" low to drawing. We have checked the scuttle height with By/JD.{J. Draper - Frames}, this we find is .875" high to drawing, and as the body mounting packings are correct, shows the .875" to be a coachbuilders error in scuttle height. The rear of the frame to ground clearance is correct in the fully laden position. If the scuttle height was corrected and the radiator was raised .300" the car appearance would be improved, and our body lines corrected. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/F.Dodd. | ||
