B.III & B.50 - Packard type Front Suspension.

As we have no complete arrangement of the Packard type Front Suspension on B.III and B.50, and because such an arrangement is difficult to draw, due to the peculiar layout of the suspension, we have made PD.139 a print of which is sent herewith showing the perspective view of the whole front suspension. Also in order that the geometry of the suspension may be comprehended, we have made a scaleplan view. From this it will be seen that there is a torque on the yoke piece when the car is standing, of the load on the wheel times approximately 2 1/2" which is in the neighbourhood of 2300 in. lbs. of torque.

To Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}'s copy we attach the original for filing purposes.
