We are in receipt of your letter of the 6th instant, enclosing copy of your letter to us of the 15th ultimo. We regret extremely to note that you have experienced trouble with the Indicating Accelerometer supplied to you. We might mention that we have supplied a very large number of these instruments, and from our own knowledge the same are giving very valuable information. We cannot help thinking, therefore, that perhaps in some way or other the accelerometer sent you may have been injured in transit, the mechanism of same being extremely sensitive. Before going into the question of the Recording Instrument, we have asked our Works to send you another accelerometer, and shall be much obliged if you will give same a trial, and at the same time return | ||
