To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ROY{Sir Henry Royce}5/MG22.2.32 Borg & Beck Arising out of our recent conversation with the Borg & Beck Representative, you will recollect they are now making the Lockheed Hydraulic Brake, and the Borg & Beck single dry plate Clutch at Leamington - the English Company manufacturing under Licence from the American House. As far as the Clutch is concerned, they have sent us Assembly Drawings 40121/2 illustrating the single dry plate Clutch as used on the Humber "SNIPE" Chassis, which they are supplying at about 40/- each; also Specification Sheet. They will gladly submit further data, or come over again if we are interested. As far as the Lockheed Brake is concerned, they claim to supply: Morris 16 HP. Sunbeam Wolseley 15 HP. Lanchester (In this case it is a combination of the Lockheed and Servo (Vacuum. 2-tons Leyland Lorry Dennis 3 1/2 tons and many Midland Red Buses &c.
