F.G.W. King, Esq.,
Messrs. Dunlop Rubber Co.,Ltd.,
Fort Dunlop,
ERDINGTON,
BIRMINGHAM.

Dear Mr. King,

Thank you for your letter of the 23rd January. We have already fitted these tyres to various experimental cars and run tests on them. We attach a preliminary report.

The tyres are so quiet that we do not think it would serve any useful purpose for your Representative to come over and listen to them in their new condition; however, we are willing to arrange this if you so desire. We suggest, on the other hand, that if, and when, any noise develops due to wear, it would be useful for us to meet and try the tyres together.

We expect to be running those tyres which you despatched to France almost immediately, and as the wear factor there is very high, it should not be long before the necessary information is obtained.

In the meantime, we ought to give our Sales Dept. a chance of trying these tyres under London conditions, and would, therefore, like you to supply two sets of five tyres each, one in the "Xl" pattern, and the other in the "X3¾" pattern.

Please address the tyres to Lillie Hall, Fulham Road, marked for the attention of Major Cox.

The tyres for the 6 x 19 rim are to hand, and we are fitting them to a 25/30-H.P. forthwith.

Yours sincerely,
