| best we can, we shall clearly want. some more men and I am looking round to see what I can find. I think Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}'s people might with advantage run the second SpectreCodename for Phantom III. Were you quite happy about the internal condition of the front shock absorbers when you dismantled them? The set we are running on the Bump have P.B. sleeves and these show signs of cross wriding. We think that the oil filtering scheme on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III is hopelessly complicated & inefficient. When the main Tecalemit gets blocked, as it is bound to do, there is no warning and all the muck goes into the tappets & bearings. We propose 1. Floating oil intake 2. Much finer gauze main filter 3. 150 mesh gauze filter for tappets with by pass Throw both Tecalemits away. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
