On account of your interest in these Engines we hope that the information given in the enclosed Leaflet on Engine tests with the 'FARNBORO' ELECTRIC INDICATOR will be found of value. The principal advantages are: large size diagrams to simplify examination of salient features, no photography, cylinder and fuel pressure records also T.D.C. and calibrating pressure lines obtainable almost simultaneously and superimposed if desired. No expensive or fragile parts to wear or become damaged and demand replacement, electric components similar to those for automobile ignition, hence principle of operation easily understood by test-bed assistant or engineer, etc. We would draw attention to the fact that just as the 'FARNBORO' Indicator has largely contributed to the development of, say, the High-Speed C.I. Engine, the instrument itself has been developed and bears out our claim that for practical testing it is the most serviceable and convenient Indicator obtainable.
