Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 428 C. HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} BY.3/G.23.2.39. BENTLEY V.{VIENNA} CHASSIS. As explained to you a day or so ago, I have made it possible to produce straight gears with the pinion corrected and still leave a sufficiently good length of contact on the intermediate gears to make the scheme practicable. However, as it now seems possible that we can make helical gears, this may not be required and HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}should not make the parts until further intructions are issued. I attach copy of the instructions in question as a record - BY/CRL.{C. R. Lisson}2/E.18.2.39. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} BY | ||
