'B' - EXPERIMENTS ON BRAKES AND BRAKE CARRIER.

(15) Varying amount of slack in shoe anchorage.
(16) Flexible brake shoes fitted ( bronze )
(17) Floating fulcrum brakes fitted.
(18) All types of split shoes received, jagger.
(19) Struts fitted to brake carrier to overcome any possible distortion.
(20) Very stiff brake drums fitted to overcome any possible drum distortion.
(21) Brake carrier allowed a limited radial movement by slotting out bolt holes.
(22) Brake cam cut away so that brake shoes were not connected up solidly to cam.
(23) Each brake operated separately, both jagger independently of the other.
(24) Jaggers can be produced by using the leading shoe only and cannot be produced using the trailing shoe only.

WE HAVE PRODUCED JAGGERS USING THE FOLLOWING METHOD OF BRAKE OPERATION:-

(1) Pedal pressure on front brakes only.
(2) Pedal pressure on front and rear brakes.
(3) RRM. servo operation (servo only to front brakes.)
(4) M.DES.60 pedal and servo operation (high-speed servo).
(5) EAC.111. system, pedal pressure only to front brakes.
(6) 'Agreed' scheme (plate clutch type slow speed servo pedal pressure servo assisted).
