Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

For the attention of J.L. Edwards Esq.

Dear Sir,

We thank you for your letter of the 3rd instant, and note the compromise you suggest with regard to Fabric pulleys, which is definitely interesting. We think perhaps the best method of exploring the possibilities of fabric pulleys would be to manufacture three for this drive and try out the different combinations which will be possible when we have received your metal pulleys.

As we have already informed you the fabric pulleys for test purposes have plain straightforward centres with solely the rims turned to the dimensions on your print, and we will take the first opportunity of putting these in hand, and will then inform you when they are ready for running.

Yours faithfully,
FERODO LIMITED.
