Arising out of PN{Mr Northey} having tried this car last week we have decided that it would be probably suit our purpose quite well to have the chassis altered as may be necessary with a view to making it a Trials Car with an enclosed-drive body.

I have discussed the matter with Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and he agrees that we should now ask you to prepare this chassis for us for demonstration purposes. By that we imagine you would need to carry out the changes that are itemised in a memo from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} (ref. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}5/KT4531), and with regard to the items in that memo we would make the following observations :-

Steering Column
We should require the "E" type and therefore no change would be necessary here.

Auto Klean Oil Filter.
As this comes on only at the 51st chassis in N2 series, we should not require it on 23-EX - in fact we should not require to have on this chassis any item which would not be standard on the first chassis in N2 series, as we obviously should not be wise to demonstrate with a car which was in any way ahead of standard.

Spare Wheel Carrier
We should require no rear wheel carrier at all and should probably want two spare wheel carriers, one each side.

Road Springs.
These would have to be suitable for a body of approximately 12 cwts.
We should not require a sub-frame.

We should like to have this chassis delivered to us at latest by the middle of August, and shall be glad to know that there is no difficulty in adhering to this date.

All fittings, of course, should be untarnishable.
