PHANTOM REVISED BONNET. X. 8260
X. 7260

Herewith we send N.sch. 2326 shewing the lock for the revised bonnet.

The key is intended to be that of the switch lock, though we have not been able to use the actual switch lock itself.

It will be seen that it is intended the lock shall be entirely clear, so that there is no possibility of rattles from it.

The intention is to control the forged hook by its faces insteadof by the central bearing, and we believe that this will be found to be the best way. Should there be any doubt however we have shewn an alternative method of control by the bearing. The forging in this case is slightly complicated by the central boss.

We should like a model of this lock constructed for inspection before any quantity is made.
