Dear Mr. Howlett,

Thank you for your letter of March 12th.

I am very interested in your note regarding your Bentley.

Unfortunately, our most earnest endeavours to prove that the Simplex ring was any good, failed to give us satisfactory figures, and therefore, though we are very pleased you have managed to get some advantage from them, we are not in a position to recommend them.

However, we should like to take an interest in the behaviour of the car and if you come up here in it sometime we will run it through one of our oil consumption tests.

I am glad that we shall get the bearings in good time.

Yours sincerely,
