804 Dictated 29.4.38. --- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} at W. Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}9/AH.30.4.38. --- Experimental B.III and B-50 Cars. ---- Reference our talk yesterday, Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} would like the following scheme adopted in connection with the above:- (1) The tester who is to be responsible for running the car in France to go to Park Wards' works before the body leaves there so that he may have explained to him the general principles of the construction, and any special points Park Ward want him to watch. (2) Mr. Finney to be invited to W to see each body mounted on its chassis. (3) Mr. Finney to be asked to go to France and spend a day or two days on each car when it has put up a reasonable mileage and the body has settled down so he can investigate the defects which have developed, and, in addition, to be given the opportunity of allotting one of his assistants to spend even longer on each car in France should this be considered desirable. Apart from this, it is understood that you may, from time to time, think Mr. Finney's presence at the works desirable to discuss problems associated with body mounting etc., and that you will, on such occasions, ask him along. On reflection we should be glad if you will advise us as you issue such invitations so that the writer may, if possible, accompany Mr. Finney. Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} | ||
