We should like you to commence to obtain Triptyques for 98-NK and 35-PK cars. You could obtain the necessary particulars of the cars from the Expl: Dept:
One car will be fitted with std. Dunlop tyres - the other car will have Rapson tyres all round.
Each car will carry four spare tyres - three of these mounted on to wheels.
On the last occasion we sent cars to France, it was suggested by London that we should become Associate Members of the R.A.C. so that triptyques could be made out in our name. We recommend that, if this is still desired, A.J.Lidsey and W.A. Robotham should be made members because they will be going out in charge of the cars. We think this should be put up to London because with three cars running about from one centre, the Police in France will probably make enquiries.
At the present time, although the triptyques can be put in hand, we cannot give the exact date when the cars will leave.
Will BP. please look into the question of the service for cars from Southampton to Harve and from New Haven to Dieppe. There is no reason for the cars to go to Boulogne.
