X/1166 COPY. Re Axle "Periods" and "Jaggering" Clutches Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}10/W11214. Na.{Mr Nadin} The attached are copies of sheets I have sent to Mr Johnson and his replies, - shall be glad if you will deal with same as Mr Johnson instructs. My chief points in sending these sheets was to bring the matter to Mr Johnson's notice so as to obtain his instructions as to how I should act as regards delivering cars to customers which have these features. This matter he has settled in his memo CJ1/1W10214. It now, therefore, appears to be a question of experimenting and reporting, which I shall be glad if you will deal with. Personally, I am of the opinion that the axle "period" is not so bad as compared with the troubles which we may have with the spring drive coupling. I do not, therefore, think that the matter is of so much importance as to sacrifice other more important experimental work. I take it, however, that you will reply to Mr Johnson as soon as ever possible. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} | ||
