Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM{Anthony F. Martindale}2/R.5.11.38. WRAITH 'C' SERIES. It has been decided to standardize the brake damper SCD.805. Will you please give all the details production numbers. The damper deletes the present idler lever on the engine, the swinging arm friction device, and the rubber buffer on the servo link. The original slotted link should be used in future; it is slightly shorter. Present ones could be used up to avoid scrap, if any. The brake damper and lever should be bought out complete from Gordon Armstrong Ltd. Will Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les make the necessary arrangements. The engine oil pipes and water pipes have to avoid the damper, as they do on 25.G.VI and 29.G.VI. If new drawings are necessary they could be copied from the cars. The dampers come in filled with 'Shockol' oil and need not be touched. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} | ||
