X7536KP PETO & RADFORD 50, GROSVENOR GARDENS, LONDON, S.W.1. Jan. 18th 1928. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Me13/P.13.1.28. C/O.181. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, DERBY. Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your letter of the 13th inst. together with drawing and order No. 73602, for which we thank you, and this has our immediate attention. We have duly noted the point regarding the dimensions which must not be exceeded, but at the same time we would point out that we consider working to these dimensions will cause the wooden box to be too thin and weak for the battery, however we will make these batteries exactly to your drawing. Will you kindly let us know if we are to send these to you dry, or charged: if dry, we anticipate being able to despatch one pair of 6 volt units in a week or ten days. Waiting your kind reply, Yours faithfully, PETO & RADFORD | ||
