Please note Mr Hives reports on the above as follows :-

"I recommend that we use the lightened "crankshaft with aluminium oil plugs. "We have found no disadvantages in it, "it has not made any difference to engine "vibrations. One is running on 56NA{Mr Nadin}, "another one ran 10,000 miles on the "bench test. 7CA also ran 10,000 miles with a lightened crankshaft."
