PEREGRINE ENGINE
OIL TEMPERATURE.

Referring to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/KT51132, this is probably due to the high engine revs., and the greater work we are getting out of this engine. We must study the possibilities of the ribs on the sump, perhaps on the sides only, and extra cooling of the oil, firstly with a single pump passing it through a cooler, after pumping up the pressure and cooling on its way to the bearings.
In the case of Bensport we shall probably have to arrange a scavenger pump, and separate cooling tank in the front under the radiator.
