HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/WST. ) FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ) (At Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence.) X6040 R3/M2.4.32. Sent from WW. 5.4.32. C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} PN.{Mr Northey} X.6040 ELECTRICAL WORK - WIRING. Our system of coloured wires of ordinary vulcanised rubber flexibles put in troughs or tubes is nearly, if not the best, that can be imagined for cost, convenience, (think of the ends) reliability, and appearance. So we ought to be shy at changing from this system to those covered with systo flex, and cleated on to the dash and other parts. I saw this scheme on the Alfa Romeo, but very much doubt if it would prove better than ours. I should very much like Mr. Bailey to look into it, before making a trial which will take time, and we have much other work to do. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
