Bailey - Chief Engineer} FH. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. SWITCHBOX MODIFICATIONS. X9730 It is not advisable to pass the battery ignition current through two switches in series, because it reduces the reliability. Supposing we had the modification for 4 positions and an extra switch combined somewhere just to stop the magneto only quite separately, so that no ignition could be obtained without the switch (lock), and when running in 'BM.& C' we could switch off magneto, just a simple one contact earthing device in parallel with the earthing device already used.
