JAPAN RODS FOR CHINA.

We find that fitting "Japan" con. rods to "China" engines and then putting packing pieces under the cyl. blocks is a very convenient way of getting higher compression ratios.

Will you therefore please complete a set of "Japan" rods to E.56097/8 at present in the stores partly finished. We shall then require them for C.7 unit (large pin crank).

We do not know if you have in the stores the washers to go under the cylinders instructed in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/MJ18.3.30 but if these have been scrapped, will you please make 4 off .062 or nearest.
