contd:- -2- From these figures it is apparent that were the servo operating under the same conditions as the rear brakes, it should wear no more rapidly. Our tests on the brake rig have shewn, however, that once the lining has been thoroughly roasted it will wear away much more rapidly than it would with unburnt Ferodo. As the linings undoubtedly do get roasted on the road, we attribute the excessive wear on the servo to lack of cooling facilities.
