Capt.S.B.Wilks,
Messrs.Rover Co. Ltd.,
New Meteor Works,
COVENTRY.

PRIVATE.

Dear Captain Wilks,

As you know, we have recently stripped the gear box off a Rover 16 car in order to cost the various internal parts. Since then the box has had to be put back in the owner's car and we therefore have no pieces to look at which we can compare with our own. We are wondering, therefore, whether you would be good enough to sell us a similar gearbox. This will help us greatly with our present problem.

The chassis from which we removed the gearbox was car No.751262.

If you will agree to this arrangement and let us know the price of the gearbox our Order Office will send you an official order.

Yours sincerely,
