London. W.1.

Dear Mr.Macintosh,

I have again to thank you for your courtesy in allowing me to try the Lincoln car. I hope we shall be able to reciprocate in some way before very long.

I will try and fix up the saloon Bentley for you and Mr.Smith to try as soon as the present rush of trial runs has subsided.

I will place your figure of £900 for the Lincoln before our people here, but I think they will take the same attitude as previously - i.e., that the car is not sufficiently up to date to be exactly what they want.

It is very good of you to suggest that you will let the Ford Co. know that I am visiting America, as I would certainly like to go around the Lincoln factory again with one of their engineers. Last time I visited America I only spent a very short time there and did not meet any of their technical people.

Yours sincerely,
