X/7250 BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} R6/M7.5.28. PHANTOM - MODIFIED RADIATOR, BONNET X.7250 AND POSSIBLY DASHBOARD. X.7260 --------------------------------------- There are certain modifications for the Show chassis which might be made to G.2. B. series. Apparently they affect the sideplates of the radiator, the bonnet, and possibly the dash. Have you particulars from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}, and can we put the modifications on G.2.B. series, without cost, or with some cost, in scrap? This is an immediate improvement in appearance, and is very much desired by the coachbuilders. It is nothing to do with the improved N.schs. 2593/4. It is suggested for the 'SS{S. Smith}' chassis, although anything will do to get this 'SS{S. Smith}' chassis on trial. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
