W.A.Robotham, Esq.,
Rolls-Royce, Ld.,
DERBY.

Dear Robotham,

Thanks for yours of the 18th October (Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/R) which was formally acknowledged during my absence at the Motor Exhibition. As explained to Mr.Grylls when the subject was previously raised (sorry, by the way, I have had the bad luck to find you away during my recent visits) I was under the impression that this matter had been disposed of with your Accountant when it was discussed in your Office and when we effected a compromise in order to arrive at a settlement.

I am pleased to note that you contemplate fitting our hydraulic Jacks on the 25/30 HP and, after further consideration, in view of the whole of the circumstances we are prepared to waive our right to debit the experimental set of jacks under notice.

Sincerely yours,

Charles [illegible signature]
