X.2656.

Will you kindly note that we shall, in the near future, most probably be issuing standardisation sheets for the standardisation of the C.M.3 Morganite brush in place of the C.M. We understand that the C.M. brushes have been obtained for the first thousand chassis; we do not think any more could be put on order at the moment as it is so very probable that we shall standardise the C.M.3 type.

We have only so far received one dozen of the C.M.3 type, which were brought as samples by Mr. Sparkes himself. We are now asking the Order Office to obtain for us a further four dozen for further experimental purposes, and in order that a few may be ready if required.

Attached is a copy of a little note of Rn{Mr Robinson}'s dated 19.12.19, you will notice on this that the springs are also mentioned. These, of course, are now standard although we understand these are not yet being fitted owing to inability to obtain them.
