EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Dear EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}:- R'S new Car. I went to Park Ward's Works this afternoon and saw the above. I arranged for the number plate and tail lamp to be fixed on a pair of brackets suspended from the cross tube at the back in such a way that the spare wheel may be removed without disturbing them. The top of the number plate will be level with the cross tube. I found Park Wards had received from Dunlops a set of five 18 inch wheels in the raw state, i.e., not painted or enamelled. They cannot, of course, remain in this condition, even under the discs, so I have told Park Wards to have them stoved light green. Park Wards badly want the instruments so that they can cut the instrument board which you will remember is to be covered with leather. I am writing Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to urge these. I told Park Wards they need not paint the bonnet, which is a temporary one, or the chassis and that they need not fit quarter bumpers at the back. We prefer they should not drill the chassis for the bumpers. I arranged with Park Wards for an ash tray to be fitted on each rear door just in front of the arm rest and I think you will find they look very neat as well as practicable as they appear to be built into the arm rests. Park Wards reckon the car is going to be ready to leave their Works at the end of next week. Yours sincerely, Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} | ||
