RE FITTING OF LOW PRESSURE TYRES TO COMPANYS' CARS. Will you kindly see "BJ" and discuss with him "R"'s memo (R2/M15/4/27) copy of which was sent to "HK{Col. T. Harker - Sales}", the latter having passed same on to me for action. You will remember some few weeks ago, "P.N." advised low pressure tyres to both 40/50 Paris Trials, and our 20-HP Paris Trials. Now "R" definitely advised low pressure tyres for all Companys' cars, which we must consider: 1-RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, 136-BW, 79-EE, 95-EE, which are used for hiring in France. Furthermore, "R" recommends 7 1/2" whereas the size so far adopted is 6.75" for 40/50-HP. As the above modifications mean a considerable expense, will you kindly instruct us how far we may go. It will, of course, mean fitting Hydraulic S.A. to the front of all cars so modified. Ps. PS-Will you also say what size of tyre should be fitted: 6.75 or 7.5 ? I shall be obliged if "Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" will write "Whr{Mr Wheeler}" on this subject by return as three of the cars in question are waiting to be put on the road for hiring purposes.
