SECRET.

Please let us know what arrangements are being made and will be made to prevent "India" cars or chassis being recognised on the road. It is realised that some of them will have to go on the road, but every precaution should be taken that they should not be run in towns, or stopped by the roadside, or at hotels, etc. As far as possible they should be tested on unfrequented roads. We still have a large number of the present 20 h.p. to sell and we wish to do everything possible to prevent the rumours from spreading.

Nothing will do us more harm than for people actually to see us testing cars with front wheel brakes and right-hand levers.

B.J.
