217 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/R.17.6.37. Herewith a report from the Shop on crankshaft flange failure. We should be more alarmed by this if we had had any such failures on the road. However, the only crankshaft flange failure of which we have any knowledge is one which took place on Hall's car, and this may have been due to over-revving on the part of an inexperienced driver who was handling it. In any case, it would appear that this shaft will be out of production before we can get any modification incorporated and proved out. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
