-7- Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/JH.12.1.44. Sealed Beam Headlamp, which after the war I believe will be available here, will do a great deal to simplify the front design. Obviously Mr. Ward cannot touch this job until his big commitments on the major portion of the Senior Range Coachwork have been covered. Incidentally we have quite a bit to do to the chassis in the way of brakes and steering before I shall feel very happy about Corniche. The Myth does not enter the picture until the beginning of era "C". The body has been designed and detailed by the late Mr. Green and his team. When prototypes have been built by Mr. Ward, it will be necessary to decide on the method of producing this body. Here again I cannot but feel that for a while we should do well to buy out the shell complete to a construction invented, developed and approved by the maker, until such time as we have gained sufficient experience to launch into details of body construction ourselves. Incidentally I am sure we shall have to improve the lines of the Myth body before we release it for production. I fear that by the day it makes its debut it will look rather like the Austin does to us today. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
