HIGH COMPRESSION 20HP.

This car is good in many ways but not for closed cars, only for open bodywork, such as the blue 40/50.

There are a few items which should be altered.

(1) Bonnet catches - the range is insufficient, the springs are too heavy pressure and rating too high, also the spindle is made of nickel brass and is easily bent: bigger in dia. or stainless steel.

(2) Front axle has an ugly steering lever, which has been cancelled.

(3) Cutout has a spring that might be for a mantrap - about three times too stiff.

(4) The brake lever fouls the body, and the button is too stiff.

(5) The foot brake four wheel brakes are somewhat too fierce, and jagger.

I ran this during the holidays, and on one jouney at quite good speeds averaged for over 200 miles 25 M.P.G., with quite ordinary driving, just full advance, and slightly weakened mixture.
