Trot Salt - Carburation} 7508 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}15/KW.7.6.35. 18-G-IV. Zenith Carburetter, 48V1-2. Fitted to 18-G-IV with small capacity central water heated manifold and float chamber to the front of engine. Acceleration up to 25 m.p.h. considerably improved and the flat spots at 28/33/35 m.p.h. cured. The chief faults at the moment are :- (1) Changeover from idle to main or progressive feeds during sharp opening of 1/3 throttle from 4 m.p.h. (2) Consumption heavy at high average speeds.
