Dear Sirs,

re: Harrison Vee Bonded Core
Radiator Blocks.

I am in receipt of your letter of the 5th. instant Refce. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}ll/KT. contents of which I have discussed with Mr. Bartlett, the Managing Director of Vauxhall Motors, Ltd.,

Although it is not intended that we should grant licenses in connection with the above development, neither Mr. Bartlett nor I would wish that this should apply to your goodselves. In fact, we are gratified by your interest in this development, and will do what we can to arrange that your wishes are met.

I think we can conclude that our people in Detroit will accept my recommendation that a licence be granted you, it being understood of course, that it would be a licence to manufacture for your own requirements only.

I note that you have written to the Harrison Radiator Corporation, and I do not know what their reply may be, because I do not believe they are very much in touch with the situation over here. In any case, I shall be obliged if you will notify me of their reply when you receive it, and even if it is unfavourable I do not think we need worry on that account.
