PETROL PUMPS - RE: SWITCH FOR CHECKING EACH PUMP IS OPERATING.

---------------------------------------------

I regret the delay in following up my memo BY.11/G.23.4.37, but the price quoted us for our original switch as it stood was prohibitive, being 4/6d. I therefore arranged, that whilst maintaining the general design to modify one or two of the parts to cut out unnecessary expense. The revised price makes the comparison of the Lucas switch with our own quite reasonable:-

(a). Original Lucas two-way switch ... 1/10d. each.

(b). RR. switch ... 2/9d. each.

with £80. for tools.

Personally, I should recommend going ahead with our own switch, which is a really sound design and in conformity with the rest of the fittings on the instrument board.
