| S/W....EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c. to Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Ry. XJ (112) C12/C15.4.30. Re 34-GN...FAIREY. EP {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} 1/Hl4.4.30. Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and I spoke to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} about this yesterday, and we understand the car will be coming back directly after Easter to the coachbuilders, for various rattles, etc. to be put right, and we shall then be able to attend to the chassis complaints whilst the car is at Park Wards. I presume that you will attend to this yourself, or give instructions to JLE {J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} to do so, as it is practically a new car. Perhaps you will please let me know. Yesterday there was trouble with the axle and this has now been returned to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} for examination together with the axle removed from Capt.Malcolm Campbell's car, which had a similar trouble. I shall be interested to hear what you find wrong, after investigation. I understand you will also be able to fit a dynamo of greater output at the Coachbuilders. C. | ||
