This Car was sent to us with a complaint of failure of the Self-Starter. It was eventually found that the spring behind the starter pinion was too strong and would not allow the pinion to fidget sufficiently for the tooth of the pinion to work into the flywheel starter ring. We would suggest that a tension limit is placed on this spring and a special bench test made when the starter motor is erected. This might then be the subject of a Depot Sheet. Hm.{Capt. W.
