28-EX. Propellor Shaft.

Re. your report dated 5.4.34.

We have made thorough enquiries in the Test Dept., but cannot confirm your last paragraph. Can you please let us know who gave you this information ?
MX. {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} and Archer say that the 25 HP. universal gives, if anything, more trouble than the Ph.II, but they are certainly not in any difficulty over either car.

We are going to try to confirm your results on 22-EX, but until we can reproduce the fault it is difficult to find a solution. If we cannot distort the universal on 22-EX it may be worth sending you the prop. shaft complete to see if you can ruin it under your conditions.

Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} / I.A. Leslie.
