SHOCK DAMPER TESTS - B.III.

We are badly off for front B.III shock dampers. Several have been scrapped through failures. At present development work is being done by HPS {Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} /WB. {Mr Brazier / Mr Bell} on an obsolete type of valve through lack of up-to-date material.

Will you please put in hand one extra pair of dampers (additional to those required for chassis) complete to latest L.O.P: one is a spare, the other is required by HOS/WB. {Mr Brazier / Mr Bell}

We have been asked for all experimental damper castings to be made from existing patterns having bosses for both side and top valves; this applies to these dampers. The final pattern for production will have the top valve boss deleted, as shown on the latest drawing.
