Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby, For the attention of Mr Lidsey. Re Colt Ventilation. Dear Sirs, We have pleasure in advising you that the experiments and tests made with our "self-adjusting fan" are practically complete and we are able to state with authority that the theoretical curve of performance plotted out and submitted in our letter to you of November 25th 1931 has been fully attained in practice. We hope to have the complete data and fan ready within a week or so, but before submitting these to you we should be glad to hear from you as to the outcome of tests carried on by you with the "bonnet ventilation device" submitted by us last December. While we are desirous to assure you that there is not the slightest intention to press you we are rather anxious to have your decision in view of the advanced season. We have approached no other firm in the U.K., our intention being to give priority to the world's leaders in petrol engined vehicles, both as regards the "bonnet" device as also the "self-adjusting" fan and the "radiator-contra". We are of course fully alive to the drawback of making cooling tests in winter, but on the other hand it is fairly easy with the elaborate and modern research equipment at your disposal to ascertain the extraction capacity of the bonnet device and thus gauge its merits to combat your particular difficulty, viz to get more air [Stamp: NATIONAL SCHEME FOR DISABLED MEN] | ||
