Dear Sir,

Thank you for your letter of July 2nd.

Replying to your queries :-

(1) The engine capacity is 3650 c.c's.
(2) The bore and stroke is 3¼ x 4½.
(3) The most violent periods of intake noise occur at 1500 and 3000 r.p.m.
(4) Number of cylinders - 6.

We note that you have also produced an exhaust silencer, and suggest that we defer a test of this until we have tried out the air silencers.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
