BREEDEN 11th April, 1938. Messrs. Rolls Royce Limited, DERBY. For the Attention of Mr. Leslie. Dear Sir, We are in receipt of two letters from you dated the 8th and 9th instant respectively, regarding the recent arrangement that has been made relative to Distance Piece No.B.3829 and Bumper End Stud No.B.3831, and we think it better to put on record the final arrangement that has been made. In view of the fact that you are assembling No.B.3829 and manufacturing this component outright, there does not appear to be any reason why we should send you an order, so consequently have looked upon our Order No.57244 as cancelled. We are pleased to state that we shall be able to use a standard part for the End Forging in place of End Stud Forging No.B.3831, and a supply of these are being delivered to us today from Messrs. Heatley Electric Forgings in London. These of course will have to be ground at the end to bring into line with our assembly requirements which are not standard for our ordinary type of Stabilising Bumper. It appears therefore that all parts will be delivered to our Tyseley Factory to assemble by about Thursday of this week. -continued- LARGEST MANUFACTURERS OF BUMPERS IN EUROPE | ||
