X4383 RE "GOSHAWK(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)) II" ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT. X4342

RECEIVED

X4359
In our memo R9/G6/4/21 we ask you to find out the possibilities of adapting other makers starter motors, namely, the C.A.V., Lucas, etc. to the "Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)) II" engine. In this way it is expected that we can have an electrical equipment ready for the "Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)) II" chassis which can be tested out against any machines we may make ourselves.

Would you kindly note that Mr. Royce would like the dynamo similarly treated, and the particulars of the front end as given on the LeC. design sent through some time ago should be forwarded to the Rotax with suitable enquiry.

E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
