QUARTERLY COMPLAINTS.

40/50HP. Phantom. For quarter ending 25.3.27.

Nature of Complaint. | No.of Cars. | Remarks.
---------------------|-------------|---------
Noisy Tappets. | W.18. Last | The new design of Tappet is now on
| N.22. qtr's | production, and one of the principal features
| P. 6. total | is the introduction to the wearing parts of
| 46. 48. | the Rollers and the Tappets of as much oil
| | as possible.
| | As there are still a large number of the old
| | type Tappets on the road, we shall be glad
| | if BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will consider a modified scheme for
| | introducing a similar type of arrangement to
| | the old pattern of Tappets.
| |
| | In their remarks Cricklewood say it is
| | necessary to drew up the Push Rod Ball Ends,
| | and reseat Tappet Springs on the shoulders.
---------------------|-------------|---------
Servo Jaggers & squeaks. | W.12. Last | In our latest design we have standardised
| N.12. qtr's | an improved Friction Device to the Swinging
| P. 7. total | T. Link, such as Paris suggest in their
| 31. 39. | remarks.
| | Will BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} consider the introduction of a
| | modified type of similar design for fitting
| | to existing cars on the road?
---------------------|-------------|---------
Sticking Throttles. | W.15. Last | A new design has been made which we hope will
| N.29. qtr's | overcome this trouble. It has been agreed
| P.12. total | to change the old type on all cars so fitted,
| 56. 46. | and is being carried out.
| | A free of charge card has been agreed to;
| | material is being prepared, and the new type
| | will be fitted to all cars as they become
| | available at Depots.
